I received a new newsletter in my mailbox yesterday. It says the sprawl plan is “A Vision for the Future”.
This is not my vision. I do not recognize or know these people. I question the sincerity behind the words and pictures.
It’s been said that the first casualty of war is the truth. Truthfully, this looks like an economic, social, cultural and environmental nightmare for 99% of our people.
I do not support the Midhurst Secondary Plan.
I find very little wrong with this +199 year old, beautifully mixed “community of communities” township: created, nurtured, and protected by Mother Earth’s most sustainable economy (agriculture).
It can (and will) be defeated. The weakness of introducing a pseudo-community newsletter like this, at this time, shows it. A strong signal of desperation that the war of words and land is being lost.
